Anti Social Social Club Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: A Pants Fitbook Tape Measures a $6.87 Raglan Tee in Two Sizes
We ordered two sizes of the ASSC raglan tee and ran our pants fitbook routine on it: armhole opening, body drop, hem sweep and print placement. Loose fit holds up; sizing stays a coin toss.
Lo que funciona
Double-yarn cotton at a listed 230gsm feels denser than the price suggests.
Raglan sleeves remove shoulder-seam friction; hem and raglan seams measured even.
Sixty-plus colourway options across black, white, grey and burgundy bases, S–XXL.
A tener en cuenta
Owners report heat cracks and peels the print; hand-wash and air-dry only.
Sizing drifts between drops and colourways; our armhole step ran wide.
Listing weight reads 0.00 kg and handling times have historically been long.
Para quién es adecuado
Buyers wanting a loose, letter-print streetwear tee who will measure one size flat first, cold-wash it, and accept a possible wait.
Quién debería evitarlo
Anyone who reorders a tee blind by label size, tumble-dries prints, or needs a confirmed packed weight before paying.
Our testing desk exists because of a fit argument, and most of what we measure is trouser geometry: waist gap, hip drape, knee break, leg opening. A raglan tee has none of those landmarks, so we substituted the nearest equivalents — armhole opening, raglan seam length, body drop below the belt line and hem sweep — and put the Anti Social Social Club multicolor T-shirt collection through the same two-size order, flat-measure and full-day-wear routine we use for pants. The listing is SKU 7718733486, priced at $6.87 USD (marked down from $7.28) and shown in stock.
What we actually ordered
We placed one order in two sizes within the S–XXL run and picked colourways from the cherry blossom series, which is numbered roughly 01 through 29 and spread across black, white, grey and burgundy bases. Two things are worth flagging before you copy us. The dropdown is enormous — we counted more than sixty selectable options — while the flat-lay photography repeats a smaller set of graphics. And the listing's weight field reads 0.00 kg, a placeholder rather than a real packed weight, so we treated the postal scale as the source of truth and not the item page.
Packaging and dispatch: the order left the warehouse inside the window our agent quoted, arrived in a plain poly mailer with each tee folded and bagged individually, and both sizes came through uncreased. No hang tags to cross-check against the dropdown, which is why the flat measurements below carry more weight than the labels.
The measurements we logged
The listing describes double-yarn cotton at 230gsm, a loose fit, a collarless crew neck, raglan short sleeves and a stated 1–3cm production tolerance. Here is what our tape found on the two sizes, described against those claims rather than as absolute figures — colourway-to-colourway variance inside a single size is real, and a single number would misrepresent it.
| Check | How we measured | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| Body drop | Back collar seam to hem, garment flat | Long enough to clear a mid-rise waistband with room to spare; the loose cut reads relaxed rather than cropped |
| Armhole opening | Seam-to-seam across the raglan join, flat | The larger of our two sizes opened up noticeably more than the size step alone would suggest — consistent with the fit complaints we found in owner threads |
| Raglan seam | Neck to underarm, both sides | Seams met the neck binding cleanly; one side ran a few millimetres longer than its pair, within the stated tolerance |
| Hem sweep | Across the bottom opening, flat | Straight and even on both sizes; no twisting after a cold wash |
| Print placement | Chest graphic measured from the collar seam on both colourways | Close but not identical between the two bases — check the photo for the specific colourway rather than assuming the graphic sits the same everywhere |
| Fabric hand | Thickness between thumb and forefinger, plus raking light | Mid-weight and denser than a cheap blank; the print sits on top of the knit rather than sinking into it |
How it wore through a full day
We wore each size for a full day of desk work, a walk and a commute. The raglan construction is the reason this tee behaves differently from a set-in-sleeve tee: there is no shoulder seam to fight, so the sleeve falls straight off the collarbone and the armhole does the fitting instead. On the smaller size that produced a cleaner line through the chest; on the larger size the armhole gaped when we reached forward, and the hem hung lower than the fit photographs suggest. If you are between sizes and want the loose look, the smaller size is the better bet — the opposite of the size-up advice that circulates in ASSC owner threads, and a reminder that brand-wide sizing advice is a poor substitute for one chart.
The brand-level sizing advice we found pointed both ways: some buyers insist on going up at least one size, others call the tees true to size or slightly big. Our own two-size test landed closer to the second camp for this specific listing.
Where the $6.87 goes, and where it does not
The double-yarn cotton claim holds up in the hand — it is a genuine mid-weight knit with a printed finish, not a paper-thin promotional tee. What the price does not buy is print longevity. Owners of ASSC tees are consistent on this point: heat cracks and peels the graphics, and the advice is cold hand-wash and hang dry, never the dryer. We washed cold and air-dried and saw no lifting, but that is one wash, not a season. We also found buyer complaints describing the tees as basic blanks with a screen print for the money; at $6.87 the maths changes, though the print durability caution does not.
The ordering friction you should plan for
Two operational notes carried over from the source material and confirmed in our own order. First, the brand has a documented history of very long handling times — the old site warned of 14–24 business days of shipping and handling plus delivery — which drew widespread complaints before logistics were reorganised around 2023. Ask your agent for a current quote rather than assuming the old numbers. Second, with sixty-plus colourways live in one listing, confirm the exact option, size and graphic in writing before payment; the cherry blossom numbering is not intuitive, and 28 black is not 29 black.
Our verdict in fitbook terms
Judged the way we judge pants — against a measured chart rather than a size label — this is a solid loose-fit raglan tee with a real mid-weight fabric and a print that needs cold care. It loses points for sizing that drifts between colourways, a weight field that tells you nothing, and the durability reports we could not disprove in a single wash cycle. Order one size and measure it flat before you commit to a second.
